Temperatures to hit 37 °C as Hungarian heatwave continues

Temperatures are set to hit 37 °C on Wednesday and for the rest of this week as the Hungarian heatwave continues, it has been revealed.

MTI reports that the National Meteorology Service (OMSZ) has issued a first grade alert for Hungary due to the extreme heat.

Temperature are expected to be above 25 °C throughout the entire day, while maximum temperatures can reach 34 °C, OMSZ announced. Some areas may even hit 37 °C.

According to reports, the first grade alert is issued for Budapest and the following counties: Pest, Baranya, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Csongrád, Fejér, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Hajdú-Bihar, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Komárom-Esztergom, Somogy, Tolna, Vas, Veszprém and Zala.
