This year’s Sziget Festival has a budget of 8.6 billion HUF (27.7 million EUR) to provide first class performers and entertainment, the organizers revealed.
Held between August 8-15th in Budapest, the crowd will be treated to performances by more international artists than ever before.
Tamás Kádár, the chief organizer of the event, said that highlights of the festival will include US singer Lana Del Rey, rapper Kendrick Lamar as well as British band Gorillaz, Mumford and Sons, Dua Lipa, Kygo and the Arctic Monkeys.
The program will also include a number of performances by Israeli artists under an agreement with the State of Israel, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
