The leader of Turkey is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and President of Hungary János Áder during his visit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit Budapest on October 8th and 9th to attend the opening ceremony of the renovated Tomb of Gül Baba, the 16th century Ottoman Bektashi dervish poet.

According to BBJ, the leader of Turkey is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and President of Hungary János Áder during his visit.

President Erdoğan will first visit Germany to attend the opening of Europeʼs largest mosque in Cologne, before visiting Hungary. He is due to meet President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.

The president’s visit to Hungary follows PM Orbánʼs visit to Turkey in July, when he attended Erdoğanʼs swearing-in ceremony following his re-election.
