Two new Hungarian restaurants receive Michelin stars

Two new Hungarian restaurants have received Michelin stars.

The Strand restaurant opened by Szabó Szabina and Széll Tamás in 2018, and István Veres’s Babel both received Michelin stars in 2019.

The 2019 Guide includes the best restaurants from 38 European cities, with Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Reykjavik added to the list

The number of Michelin star restaurants in Hungary now stands at six. Onyx has two, Costes, Costes Downtown and Borkonyha have one star, along with newly crowned Strand and Babel.
