5,559,178 people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Hungary. 5,268,814 have already received the second dose of the vaccine.
With 64 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hungary, the number of total cases now stands at 808,728. Meanwhile, 2 more Hungarians succumbed to the virus yesterday, and the number of those who have recovered grew to 742,632, and the number of active coronavirus cases now stands at 36,078.
There are currently 86 people hospitalized with COVID-19, 10 of whom are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 6,238,275 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
As vaccinations has reached 5.5 million, masks are no longer required indoors and people are allowed to go to hotels, restaurants, baths and water parks without an immunity certificate. However, masks will remain mandatory in the healthcare sector. The use of immunity certificates will be maintained for mass events, such as sports events, concerts, festivals and night clubs.
