During today's Operational Group press conference, Róbert Kiss, Lieutenant Colonel of the Hungarian Police Force, announced that the rules concerning foreign citizens’ applications requesting exemptions from the entry ban can be submitted electronically to the national police chief from Wednesday. He added that a permit may be granted only in exceptional circumstances detailed within the law.

Kiss also reported that the number of criminal proceedings in connection with the epidemiological situation has risen to 352; these cases are divided, for example, between fraud, spreading fear, and the violation of epidemiological rules.

Answering a question from the press, Kiss also said that the easement of movement restrictions will be discussed at Wednesday's government meeting, and Minister Gergely Gulyás will provide information on the decisions on Thursday.
