Minister Szijjártó said on Facebook that there were 426 Hungarian nationals staying in Israel under consular protection.

He said anybody in trouble is requested to immediately contact the embassy in Tel Aviv or the Hungarian foreign ministry's Call Centre.

"We again ask everyone to travel to the region only on an absolutely urgent matter and register by all means for consular protection prior to departure," he added.
