Speaking before departing for the NATO gathering, Szijjártó warned that “the fanatical pro-war camp” is expected to make another attempt to overturn the alliance’s earlier decision — namely, that NATO is not a party to the war in Ukraine, and that every effort must be made to ensure it does not become one.
“Today the pro-war fanatics will try to consign that previous decision to the past. And we, the pro-peace forces, will work to preserve NATO’s earlier position,” the minister said.
