Hungarian film ‘1945’ has won both the jury's and audience prize at the San Francisco Jewish Festival.
Director Ferenc Török received a standing ovation after screening the film to guests and jury members at the 37th San Francisco Jewish Festival yesterday.

The story relates to the events of one afternoon in a remote Hungarian village where the arrival of two Orthodox Jews catalyses an unwelcome reckoning with the recent past of the locals.
The film has already won awards at the Berlin Film Festival, in Miami, Washington and other prestigious events.
