Hungary reports a 1.06 billion euro trade surplus in June

The trade surplus amounted to 5.377 billion euros for January-June, down 41 million from the same period last year

Hungary's Central Statistical Office (KSH) has announced that Hungary had a 1.06 billion euro trade surplus in June.

According to MTI, the surplus was down 97 million euros from the same month a year earlier. Exports rose by an annual 4.5 percent to 8.820 billion euros. Imports were up 6.5 percent at 7.760 billion euros.

Figures show that roughly 79 percent of exports and 78 percent of imports were traded with other European Union member states.

The trade surplus amounted to 5.377 billion euros for January-June, down 41 million from the same period last year.

Exports were up 9.9 percent at 50.986 billion euros and imports rose by 11.3 percent to 45.609 billion euros.
