Parliament to debate 2020 budget bill this week

Starting today at 1pm, Hungary’s parliament has scheduled a five-day session, with the government’s 2020 budget bill high on the agenda.

Ministers are set to discuss the government’s 2020 budget proposal in parliament this week.

Starting today at 1pm, Hungary’s parliament has scheduled a five-day session, with the government’s 2020 budget bill high on the agenda.

Tomorrow will see the national assembly vote on declaring 2020 a year of national cohesion, and start a general debate of the budget bill.

On Wednesday, the Finance Minister will present his budget introduction, with contributions by the State Audit Office and the Fiscal Council to follow.

Finally, Wednesday through to Friday will see the government and the opposition have 900 minutes each to contribute to the budget debate.
