PM Orbán congratulates Greek prime minister on election win

The prime minister welcomed the “opportunity to work together in cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties to stem illegal migration, ensure energy supplies, and support the European integration of countries in the Western Balkans”.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has congratulated Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the head of Greece’s New Democracy party, on winning the recent elections and on his reappointment as prime minister. “In recent years we have done a lot to build friendly relations between Hungary and Greece. At times of international challenges our cooperation based on mutual respect will be especially appreciated,” PM Orbán said in his letter.
