Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with Slovak counterpart Robert Fico on Thursday, who came to Budapest to attend the CPAC Hungary 2025 conference.
According to MTI, the central topic of the talks was the two countries' energy security. Earlier, Fico stood by Hungary in raising objections to the European Commission's plan to scrap the import of Russian natural gas to the bloc by the end of 2027.
The prime minister also held talks with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, the leader of the Czech ANO party, in his office in Budapest.
ANO, a sister party of Hungary's ruling Fidesz in the Patriots for Europe party family in the European Parliament, is the clear favourite to win the Czech parliamentary elections, to be held in October.
Finally, the prime minister also had talks with Poland's former prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki.
Morawiecki is attending the CPAC Hungary 2025 conference in his capacity as the head of the European Parliament's European Conservatives and Reformists Group.
