PM Orbán: We do not want our children sent to the Ukrainian front and see them come home in a coffin

"We do not want our children to be sent to the Ukrainian fronts or even to Ukrainian territory in the form of Hungarian troops and see them come home in a coffin," PM Orbán says in a video.

In a video posted on Facebook on Monday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said: "We do not want our children to be sent to the Ukrainian front and see them come home from there in a coffin."

The video starts with a statement by former chief of staff Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, of the opposition Tisza Party, saying that "if Ukraine were a member of the EU or NATO, it would be right for our forces to go there".

"We do not want our children to be sent to the Ukrainian fronts or even to Ukrainian territory in the form of Hungarian troops and see them come home in a coffin," PM Orbán says in the video.

The video also calls on people to "click now and vote no on the voks2025.hu website".
