Leading Hungarian football club Ferencváros has announced that Ukrainian coach Serhiy Rebrov will replace German Thomas Doll as the club’s manager.
Rebrov has up until now coached Saudi Arabian team Al-Ahli, and previously managed Dynamo Kyiv from 2014 to 2017.
He has had a successful coaching carrier, taking two Ukrainian Premier League Titles and the Ukrainian Cup twice with Dynamo Kyiv. He also took the team through to the quarterfinals of the Europa League and the knock-out phase of the Champions League.
As a player, Rebrov is still one of the greatest Ukrainian footballers to date. He spent most of his career at Dynamo Kyiv where he won multiple championships and reached the Champions League semi-final. He was also capped 75 times by the Ukrainian national team, and scored 15 goals.
According reports, Rebrov will earn 1.5 million euros a year for his role as Ferencváros manager.
