WATCH: Police release CCTV footage of Budapest bomb attack

Police are offering a 10 million HUF reward for help in identifying the attacker and are calling on members of the public to reveal the individual’s identity

Police have released CCTV footage showing the Budapest bomb attack in order to try and catch the suspect.

Two police officers were severly injured in the bombing which took place on Teréz Körút near Oktogon at 10:35pm on Saturday.

The video shows a white male between the ages of 20-25 years, wearing a white fishing hat, a dark jacket, jeans and white trainers, waiting in a doorway while two police officers walk by, the suspect then throws an item at the officers which explodes with considerable force. Members of the public are seen running in panic as the blast goes off.

Hungarian authorities have also published a number of pictures of the suspect, believed to be around 170 centimeters tall and of European descent.
