The total number of vaccinated people is 6,226,399, of which 5,937,305 have already received their second vaccination and 3,104,194 have already received their third vaccination. Registration to have children aged 5 to 11 vaccinated against COVID-19 is now open.
A total of 10,105 new infections have been confirmed in the last three days, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,228,400. The 366 deaths in the last three days were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 37,896. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,048,633, while the number of active infected people is 141,871. 5,537 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 503 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,014,430 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
