The national police headquarters said 6,092 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Saturday, while another 5,484 from Ukraine crossed from Romania. Police issued temporary residence permits valid for 30 days to 414 people. Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within 30 days to apply for permanent documents. Budapest police received 427 refugees, 170 children among them, arriving by train.
