14,890 new COVID cases recorded in Hungary yesterday

85 people passed away yesterday due to complications related to COVID-19, while the number of vaccinated people now stands at 6,322,905.

The total number of vaccinated people is 6,322,905, of which 6,066,056 have already received their second vaccination and 3,430,445 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.

A total of 14,890 new infections were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,369,974. The 85 deaths were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,686. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,181,715, while the number of active infected people is 147,573. 2,645 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 208 are on ventilators.

The fourth dose of the COVID-vaccine is now available, and the quarantine period has been shortened to 7 days.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,572,149 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
