The total number of vaccinated people is 6,325,143, of which 6,069,677 have already received their second vaccination and 3,437,335 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
A total of 15,526 new infections were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,385,500. The 71 deaths were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,757. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands 1,186,319, while the number of active infected people is 158,424. 2,673 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 202 are on ventilators.
The fourth dose of the COVID-vaccine is now available, and the quarantine period has been shortened to 7 days.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,612,654 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
