The total number of vaccinated people is 6,190,822, of which 5,893,531 have already received their second vaccination and 3,005,109 have already received their third vaccination. Registration to have children aged 5 to 11 vaccinated against COVID-19 is now open.
A total of 16,017 new infections have been confirmed in the last three days, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,198,939. The 455 deaths in the last three days were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 36,884. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 991,639, while the number of active infected people is 170,416. 6,531 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 565 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 8,853,922 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
