The total number of vaccinated people is is 6,398,091, of which 6,177,402 have already received their second dose and 3,824,405 and 229,151 have received their third and fourth dose, respectively.
A total of 2,377 new infections have been confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,812,294. The 54 deaths yesterday were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 44,603. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,646,037, while the number of active infected people is 121,654. 2,499 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 117 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 10,907,123 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
The government has lifted mask mandates and phased out most coronavirus-related measures. The special legal order will remain in place to enable swift government action should a sixth wave of the pandemic hit the country.
