The total number of vaccinated people is is 6,400,875, of which 6,184,076 have already received their second dose and 3,836,209 and 245,137 have received their third and fourth dose, respectively.
A total of 2,651 new infections have been confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,834,268. The 35 deaths yesterday were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 45,220. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,689,460, while the number of active infected people is 102,239. 1,971 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 71 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 11,040,273 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
The government has lifted mask mandates and phased out most coronavirus-related measures. The special legal order will remain in place to enable swift government action should a sixth wave of the pandemic hit the country.
