The total number of vaccinated people is 6,345,766, of which 6,083,949 have already received their second vaccination and 3,567,044 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
A total of 20,174 new infections were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,471,276. The 69 deaths were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 41,087. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands 1,224,813, while the number of active infected people is 205,376. 3,145 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 164 are on ventilators.
The fourth dose of the COVID-vaccine is now available, and the quarantine period has been shortened to 7 days.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,839,158 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
