According to the national police headquarters (ORFK), 5,330 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Sunday, while another 5,582 from Ukraine crossed from Romania. Police issued temporary residence permits valid for 30 days to 268 people. Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within 30 days to apply for permanent documents. Budapest police received 180 refugees, 102 children among them, arriving by train. It was previously reported that 5,812 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Saturday, while another 7,035 from Ukraine crossed from Romania.
