The total number of vaccinated people is 6,192,253, of which 5,900,371 have already received their second vaccination and 3,014,936 have already received their third vaccination. Registration to have children aged 5 to 11 vaccinated against COVID-19 is now open.
A total of 3,575 new infections have been confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,202,514. The 195 deaths yesterday were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 37,079. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 996,517, while the number of active infected people is 168,918. 6,507 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 563 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 8,868,961 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
