The total number of vaccinated people is 6,342,496, of which 6,080,592 have already received their second vaccination and 3,554,502 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
A total of 39,928 new infections have been confirmed in the last three days, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,441,385. The 122 deaths in the last three days were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,944. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,209,129, while the number of active infected people is 191,312. 2,921 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 176 are on ventilators.
The fourth dose of the COVID-vaccine is now available, and the quarantine period has been shortened to 7 days.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,794,753 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
