The total number of vaccinated people is 6,404,348, of which 6,189,787 have already received their second dose and 3,852,933 and 274,965 have received their third dose and fourth dose, respectively.
A total of 4,657 new infections have been confirmed in the last three days, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,872,664. The 60 deaths in the last three days were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 45,781. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,731,816, while the number of active infected people is 95,067. 1,755 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 48 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 11,221,030 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
The government has lifted mask mandates and phased out most coronavirus-related measures. The special legal order will remain in place to enable swift government action should a sixth wave of the pandemic hit the country.
