5,026,529 people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Hungary

The total number of people infected with the coronavirus now stands at 802,510, while 21 more Hungarians succumbed to the virus yesterday.

5,026,529 people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Hungary. 3,072,940 have already received the second dose of the vaccine.

With 164 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hungary, the number of total cases now stands at 802,510. Meanwhile, 21 more Hungarians succumbed to the virus yesterday and the number of those who have recovered grew to 671,392. The number of active coronavirus cases now stands at 101,537.

There are currently 1,417 people hospitalized with COVID-19, 159 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 5,750,359 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.

Now that Hungary has reached the 5 million vaccinated milestone, the curfew and obligatory mask-wearing outdoors will be abolished.

Restrictions on the business hours of shops and restaurants will be lifted.

Outdoor sports will be allowed, both individual and team.

Family events and weddings may be organized for up to 50 and 200 people, respectively. Family events, if held in a hotel or restaurant, must be in a separate area. 

Indoor and music/dance events may only be attended with a certificate of immunity.

Outdoor events may be organized for up to 500 people.

Vaccinated 16–18-year-olds can visit indoor venues without an accompanying adult.
