The total number of vaccinated people is 6,278,355, of which 6,006,178 have already received their second vaccination and 3,217,724 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
A total of 6,524 new infections have been confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,282,957. The 101 deaths yesterday were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 39,780. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,137,648, while the number of active infected people is 105,529. 3,070 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 291 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,285,125 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
