The total number of vaccinated people is 6,297,101, of which 6,039,940 have already received their second vaccination and 3,299,569 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
A total of 7,883 new infections have been confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,308,877. The 67 deaths yesterday were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,083. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,149,849, while the number of active infected people is 118,945. 2,578 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 257 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,386,272 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
