The total number of vaccinated people is 6,394,379, of which 6,168,926 have already received their second dose and 3,809,703 have received their third dose.
A total of 8,370 new infections have been confirmed in the last three days, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,787,544. The 197 deaths in the last three days were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 43,949. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,588,843, while the number of active infected people is 154,752. 3,615 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 135 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 10,784,987 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
The fourth dose of the COVID-vaccine is now available, and the quarantine period has been shortened to 7 days. Immunity certificates of those having two vaccinations will be valid for an extended period, until 1 May, in line with the practice of other EU countries.
