The total number of vaccinated people is 6,304,323, of which 6,050,416 have already received their second vaccination and 3,321,659 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
A total of 8,921 new infections were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,327,014. The 73 deaths yesterday were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,237. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,158,509, while the number of active infected people is 128,268. 2,611 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 243 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,448,157 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
