The total number of vaccinated people is 6,299,590, of which 6,045,893 have already received their second vaccination and 3,306,370 have already received their third vaccination. Children between the age of 5 and 11 can now get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
A total of 9,216 new infections were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons identified since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,318,093. The 81 deaths yesterday were mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,164. The number of recovered people continues to increase and now stands at 1,155,505, while the number of active infected people is 122,424. 2,647 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of whom 249 are on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 9,417,820 coronavirus tests have been performed in Hungary.
