An exhibition of world-famous street artist Banksy is coming to Budapest on February 1.
Organized by the Godot Institute of Contemporary Art, the ART OF BANKSY exhibition will showcase about 70 pieces of work by the unknown artist at the Tesla Loft.
The Budapest showcase covers the period between 1997 and 2008 before Banksy achieved global fame, and is part of a worldwide tour which has already shown in Amsterdam, Melbourne, Toronto, Berlin, and Paris.
Zoltán Sáfár, founder and owner of the Godot Institute for Contemporary Art, said “the ART OF BANKSY exhibition brings us works of Banksy that have appeared on weathered plaster, empty brick walls, and overpasses from around the world, and rethinks the works of an unknown genius to bring their essential message in the form of paintings, photos, and prints.”
The exhibit will have all his iconic works on display, like ‘Laugh Now,’ ‘Girl with Balloon,’ ‘Pulp Fiction,’ ‘Flower Thrower,’ ‘Monkey Queen,’ ‘Flag Wall,’ ‘Soup Can,’ and many more.
The exhibition will be on display until the end of April.
