Body found in search for missing Hungarians in Mallorca

State Secretary Tamás Menczer said the body of a man was identified by local police in Mallorca based on personal documentation found in the dead tourist’s backpack.

Following our report yesterday that the authorities are continuing the search for two missing Hungarians on the island of Mallorca, a body has been found.

According to MTI, the body found is that of one of the Hungarian tourists who went missing last week.

State Secretary Tamás Menczer said the body of a man was identified by local police in Mallorca based on personal documentation found in the dead tourist’s backpack.

Two Hungarian siblings, an 18-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, had been reported missing from their hotel at the Cala d’Or resort on the south-east of the island last weekend. The report came two days after witnesses saw two people being swept into the sea by a huge wave.
