The Budapest Palace of Arts (Müpa) is set to host the 11th Jazz Showcase, presenting stars of jazz music and new talents from central Europe, between February 1st and 3rd.
According to MTI, the afternoon concerts will feature rising talent, whose performance will be rated by a jury and the audience.
Müpa announced that winners will receive a record contract, touring opportunities and the chance to hold a concert at their venue.
Performers will include the Best Bad Trip group, LightBulb, and 17-year-old pianist Balázs Horváth.
Singers Panni Kalmár, the Vintage Dolls and Ágnes Szász are taking the stage on February 2nd. The Coquette Jazz Band, the Choose Cheese and the Antal Gábor Trio are scheduled to play on Saturday.
Concerts in the evenings will feature Kristóf Bacsó and his band featuring guitarist Gilad Hekselmann, the Tálas Áron Trio and Mike Moreno, as well as Gyula Babos, Elemér Balázs, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos and Tony Lakatos.
