Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Gong Tao said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s visit to China last week was successful and fruitful, reflecting increased mutual political trust between the sides.
Tao told a press conference that thanks to the visit, bilateral cooperation strengthened under the arrangements of the Belt and Road Initiative and Hungary’s eastern opening strategy. Cooperation between the sides is an example of a new type of international cooperation, he added. He noted that the Hungarian delegation signed cooperation agreements with the Chinese government in ten areas. Events planned to mark the approaching 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary will help further intensify cooperation, he added.
