The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 3,556. In compulsory home quarantine: 10,394. Recovered: 1,412. Deceased: 467.
The results show that 45 percent of those infected, 62 percent of the deceased, and 46 percent of those recovered live in Budapest or Pest County.
It’s still vital for everyone to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters and cover their face in shops and on public transport. It is recommended to stay at home and observe the rules and recommendations, especially elderly people, students, and those who have returned from abroad.
During yesterday's Operational Group press conference, Róbert Kiss, Lieutenant Colonel of the Hungarian Police Force, said wearing masks in shops and on public transport is still compulsory.
The 9-12 a.m. shopping time slot for those above 65 will also stay in force. However, public parks and spaces, as well as outdoors playgrounds can now be used.
