The confirmed number of COVID-19 cases in Hungary now stands at 3,641.

The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 3,641. In compulsory home quarantine: 11,103. Recovered: 1,509. Deceased: 473.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 1,659. The results show that 45 percent of those infected, 61 percent of the deceased, and 46 percent of those recovered live in Budapest or Pest County.

It’s still vital for everyone to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters and cover their face in shops and on public transport. It is recommended to stay at home and observe the rules and recommendations, especially elderly people, students, and those who have returned from abroad.

“There continues to be a regional difference in terms of the number of infected people per 100,000 inhabitants,” Chief Medical Officer Cecilia Müller said yesterday, adding that the figure is the highest in Budapest, 97.6, while nationwide there have been 36.8 infections for every 100,000 people. This number, she said, “puts Hungary in a good spot among European countries.”
