The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 3,954. In compulsory home quarantine: 10,985. Recovered: 2,205. Deceased: 539.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 1210. The results show that 41 percent of those infected, 59 percent of the deceased, and 48 percent of those recovered live in Budapest. There are currently 406 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, 24 of those are on ventilators.
It’s still vital for everyone to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters and cover their face in shops and on public transport. It is recommended to stay at home and observe the rules and recommendations, especially elderly people, students, and those who have returned from abroad.
During yesterday’s Operational Group press conference, Róbert Kiss, Lieutenant Colonel of the Hungarian Police Force, said the government is currently “analyzing and evaluating” restrictive measures and an announcement of new decisions can be expected today.
