During today’s Operational Group press conference, Róbert Kiss, Lieutenant Colonel of the Hungarian Police Force, announced that controls at all Schengen internal borders have now been abolished.

Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller said there are no confirmed infections in four Hungarian counties, but “despite improving data, epidemiological preparedness still needs to be maintained”.

Müller added that a decision will be made today whether healthcare services can return to pre-epidemic state and information will be provided on the decision tomorrow.
