Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, held talks with his Slovenian counterpart on reopening the border between the two countries.
In a Facebook post after telephone talks with Anze Logar, Minister Szijjártó said the Slovenian health authority had issued a recommendation saying that “reopening the border was possible, in view of Hungary’s successful protection efforts.”
Minister Szijjártó said a reasonable easing of the restrictions is in Hungary’s interest, adding that the two countries’ police chiefs will also start talks on the matter.
