Coronavirus Update: Shops must close at 3 p.m., excluding food stores and pharmacies

Shops are not allowed to remain open beyond 3 p.m., excluding food stores and pharmacies.

Shops are not allowed to remain open beyond 3 p.m., excluding food stores and pharmacies.

According to the government decree adopted as part of a series of emergency measures, from this afternoon shops (e.g. clothing stores, shoe shops, etc.) are not allowed to remain open beyond 3 p.m., not including stores selling foodstuffs, toiletries, household cleaning substances, chemicals and hygiene paper products, pharmacies, stores selling medical supplies, filling stations and tobacco shops.

In other retail stores, only employees are allowed to remain present on the premises between closing time at 3 p.m. and 6 a.m.

It is important that this regulation does not yet apply to the services sector – such as nail parlors, hairdressers and gymnasiums – meaning that they may remain open beyond 3 p.m. At the same time, we strongly advise everyone to comply with disease control precautions.
