The foreign minister has said the Visegrad Group “have done particularly well” in international comparison in responding to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Following talks with his Polish counterpart Jacek Czaputowicz, Péter Szijjártó said the pair had expressed their solidarity with each other’s countries over the coronavirus crisis and agreed on the need to further boost bilateral cooperation.
The minister said they were in agreement that national responses to the virus were the most effective and that “our European friends” were applying “double standards” when it came to disagreements about the state of the rule of law in Hungary and Poland.
