Delegations have arrived today at Budapest's Puskás Aréna for the European Political Community summit.
A total of 47 heads of state and government and leaders of international organizations have been invited to the summit. The summit's participants are being greeted by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
PM Orbán said the summit is set to be the biggest-ever diplomatic event in Hungary's history, noting that apart from EU leaders, it will also include the leaders of the UK, Turkey, the Caucasus and the Northern and Western Balkan countries.
The prime minister said the summit will focus on the US presidential election and reversing Europe's declining competitiveness.
