Leading officials, VIPs and patrons of the arts attended a fundraising event last night to raise money for the National Ballet Institute.
Ballet performances and a six-course meal were put on for guests to raise funds to help the schooling and development of Hungarian ballet pupils.
Director of the Hungarian State Opera House Szilveszter Ókovács and Justice Minister Judit Varga joined host Zoltán Molnár at Easy Wine Budapest to launch the event.
The new foundation aims to support the professional and educational activities of the Hungarian National Ballet Institute, both domestically and internationally.
Funds raised at events like this will contribute to the promotion of domestic ballet training, the creation of new productions, and to support the participation of students in stage productions.
By providing scholarships, the foundation will support the education of worthy and needy students and to support the educational activities of the Institute's ballet masters. The Board is chaired by Radina Dace, the artistic director of the Institute.
