The number of Hungarians in employment has risen and those out of work has decreased significantly, it has been reported today.
Hungary's three-month rolling unemployment rate fell to 5.1 percent in the April to June period from 5.5 percent in March to May, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) has announced.
It said the number of unemployed fell to 234,100 from 250,700. The number of employed people meanwhile rose to 4.34 million from 4.31 million.
The figure for those working also includes 232,200 people employed in public works programs as well as 116,700 people employed abroad, the KSH said.
In the same period a year earlier the unemployment rate stood at 6.9 percent.
