The finance minister said German businesses continue to see Hungary as a good investment destination.
At an event held by the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DUIHK) on Tuesday, Minister Varga said that a record 88 percent of business leaders surveyed by the DUIHK say they would repeat their past investments in the country. Hungarian-German economic ties are stable and crisis-resistant, Minister Varga said, adding that Germany remains one of Hungary’s most important economic partners. Trade turnover between the two countries was up 11.6 percent last year and up more than 12 percent in the first two months of 2022, he said.
