Finance Minister Mihály Varga has urged European Union bureaucrats to expedite payouts from the 750 billion euro recovery fund.
During a meeting of EU finance ministers, the ministers discussed how to get resources from the fund to member states that need it as quickly as possible.
“Hungary’s position is that the EU bureaucracy must be accelerated,” Minister Varga said, urging the removal of “all obstacles that slow the economic recovery and hurt the EU’s competitiveness”.
